A two-week safari loop out of Nairobi in October 2017 — from the rhinos and pelican shallows of Lake Nakuru, across the Masai Mara's lion country, over the border into the endless plains of the Serengeti, down into the Ngorongoro Crater, and back north to Amboseli beneath Kilimanjaro. Big cats, great herds, and the quiet hours in between, reconstructed here in the order the trip unfolded.
